With a full meet of Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa racing on the calendar, strong purses, and premier late-season futurities, Will Rogers Downs remains a standout destination for fall racing—and it’s not too late to get involved.

EVANSTON, WY—JULY 11, 2025—A full slate of accredited Wyoming-bred 2-year-olds took to the track at Wyoming Downs today for 10 trials for the $100,000-est. Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity.
The 330-yard final will be contested at Wyoming Downs on Sunday, July 27.
Flying Rocco emerged as the standout of the day, posting the fastest qualifying time of 16.728 seconds, a 96 speed index with an 8 mph tailwind, in the fifth trial. Owned and bred by J. P. Sample.
