OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–SEPTEMBER 19, 2025–Four yearlings, headed by a son of champion sire Hes Relentless, broke the $200,000 threshold on Friday at the 47th annual Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma.
The fourth and final session will get underway on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (CDT).
"The third session concluded with an average price on horses sold of $36,665, up 13% from the previous day," Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said late Friday. "The median rose to $23,000 through the first three sessions and 86% of the horses offered have been sold. Heritage Place is excited about what the catalog offers in the closing session (Saturday) and looks forward to seeing everyone tomorrow."
Heritage Place Sale Company reported that 582 horses were sold out of the 675 offered, for gross receipts of $19,600,100, an average of $33,677, and a median of $23,000.
Jose R. Espinosa paid $250,000 for Friday's sale-topper, Hip #610 Bubble Wrapp, a colt by champion sire Hes Relentless from the Spit Curl Jess mare Quions. Jordan Wiggins, Agent for L. Hendrix Horses LLC, consigned the full brother to AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Dark Nme and Black Gold Futurity winner Mr Dillard.

Cavenaugh Quarter Horses LLC sold Friday's second high-seller, Hip #694 Wee Political. Gael Garza signed the $225,000 ticket for the son of leading sire Apollitical Jess out of Grade 3 winner Weetonas Lafawn, by Valiant Hero. This is the immediate family stakes winners Pyc Fun N Fancy, Im A Fancy Pyc and Stanley Cartel.
MRB Racing LLC paid $210,000 for Friday's third high-seller, a colt by Hes Relentless from the Tempting Dash mare Sonny D. Marty Powers, Agent for Flag Ranch LLC consigned Hip #735 Relentless Sonny D, a half-brother to four black type. This is the family of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon and Ivory James.
Equestix Consulting LLC is the leading buyer through three sessions, with 15 purchases totaling $593,000. Bobby D. Cox paid $530,000 for three yearlings, and Jose R. Espinosa has seven head totaling $479,000.
Marty Powers, Agent for Flag Ranch LLC, is the leading consignor and/or agent through three sessions, with 15 head grossing $1,329,000. Dunn Ranch, Agent, sold 48 heads for $1,156,000, and Ranch El Cabresto, Inc., has 13 yearlings grossing $1,101,000.
Apollitical Jess is the leading sire (by average, two or more sold) through three sessions, with 36 for $73,222. Favorite Cartel has 19 yearlings averaging $64,158, and Hes Relentless has a $61,400 average from 20 yearlings sold.
Golden Boi is the leading first-crop sale sire with nine head averaging $33,778.

Saturday (Sept 20) session, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (CDT), will feature breeding's to leading sires Uncle D and Cyber Monday, benefitting the Ruidoso Racing Foundation, and then session four, highlighting Hips 758 through 1009.
Heritage Place will again offer online bidding so that horsemen and women who can't attend can view the sale live through an online webcast. Prospective online bidders must register by 5:00 p.m. (CDT) Tuesday, September 19. For online bidding instructions, CLICK HERE.
Prospective Buyers who have not been previously approved by Heritage Place and wish to write a personal or business check must complete the buyer registration form and obtain a letter from the issuing bank prior to the start of the sale.
Any buyer registrations received after 5:00 p.m. (CDT) September 16 for the Quarter Horse Yearling Sale will not be approved for check writing.
Anyone not approved can make a payment with United States currency, money order, or credit card.
