March 1 Payment Deadline for Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity & Derby
Nominations for the 2024 the Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity and Derby are due today (March 1).

March 1 Payment Deadline for Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity & Derby

ALTOONA, IA—MARCH 1, 2024—The Racing Office at Prairie Meadows would like to remind all our Quarter Horse owners and trainers that today (March 1) is the deadline to begin nominating your horses to the $50,000-added Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity for open 2-year-olds going 350 yards with an estimated purse value of $175,000 with trials scheduled for Monday, June 17 and the final on Saturday, July 6.

Also, today March 1 is the deadline to begin nominating your horses to the $40,000-added Prairie Meadows Gold Derby for open 3-year-olds going 350 yards with an estimated purse value of $100,000 with trials scheduled for Sunday, June 23 and the final on Sunday, July 7.

Please note the new requirement listed in the General Conditions & Iowa Quarter Horse Hair Testing Protocols regarding Quarter Horse Finalists to be stabled on grounds.

Prairie Meadows 2024 Quarter Horse season begins on June 16 and will conclude on September 28.
