Various state affiliated Racing Quarter Horse associations will be conducting their annual events after the New Year.

AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—DECEMBER 19, 2017—The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association will host its annual awards banquet on February 24 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

OQHRA will give out AQHA regional champion awards, American Paint Horse Association racing champions, and Oklahoma-bred awards, along with OQHRA awards.

The Texas Quarter Horse Association will host its annual meeting and awards banquet on January 26-27 in Fredricksburg, Texas.

The event will kick off on Friday with meetings and events and tours, which include a tour and reception at Stonewall Equine Rehab and Fitness at Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP.

The TQHA Race Committee kicks off a full day of meetings on Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m.

The awards banquet will be held at the Hangar Hotel. The luau-themed banquet begins at 6 p.m.

Hotel blocks end as early as December 27. RSVP is required by January 19.

The Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana will host its annual membership meeting, banquet and stallion service auction on January 13, 2018, at Indiana Grand in Shelbyville, Indiana.

The event will include its membership assembly, a 2017 awards program, and is highlighted by guest speaker and famed jockey G.R. Carter Jr.

Attendees need to RSVP by January 3. To make a reservation, visit the QHRAI website at indianaquarterhorseracing.com/year-end-banquet.htm. The event will be held in the second-floor club house.

Those interested in donating to the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction should contact Teresa Myers at 260-726-5090.

Foals produced from stallion services sold through the auction are eligible to run in the 2021 QHRAI Stallion Service Futurity and 2022 Derby. This year, the Brookstone Bay gelding Stone Cold Leader won the $176,578 QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Futurity (R) for owner Patrick Richardson of Huger, South Carolina.
