DECEMBER 3, 2021—POWELL, WY—Woods Farm purchased Corona Surfer, a Grade 1 qualifying son of leading sire Corona Cartel, and announced today he will stand the 2022 season at Two Heart Farms in Powell, Wyoming. His fee has been set at $1,500 with consideration.

Corona Surfer is a full brother to two-time champion, Rainbow Futurity(G1) winner Uncle D ($689,165).

From limited starters in two crops to race, Corona Surfer has sired 10 winners, (7 two-year-old winners in 2021), 1 black type, 3 stakes finalists with earnings of over $202,000.

His top performers include stakes-placed Surfz Up SI 93 (2 wins to 3, 2021 $76,142 2nd New Mexico State Fair Juvenile S., etc.), Dj Heartbreaker SI 90 (winner at 2, 2021, $28,541), Roxxie SI 95 (winner to 3, $17,378, finalist Mountain Top QH Juvenile), Shade Factor SI 88 (winner at 2, 2021, $10,825), Fletchers Cove SI 96 (winner at 2, 2021, $9,900), Ed N Otis SI 90 (winner at 2, 201, $7,854, New Mexico Classic QH Juvenile finalist, New Mexico State Fair Juvenile finalist), Sonny Surfer SI 81 (placed to 3, $7,093, finalist New Mexico State Fair Juvenile), etc.

At the track Corona Surfer won or placed in five of nine career starts and earned $37,394. He was the second fastest qualifier on Night 2 to the Grade 1 $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity at Remington Park.

His sire is the #2 all-time leading sire and a "sire of sires", Corona Cartel SI 97 ($557,142), sire of 184 stakes winners, 10 champions, earners of more than $66 million.
