GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—NOVEMBER 9, 2019—Multiple stakes winner Lynnder 16 defeated Sera Jess Fine V by a neck in the inaugural running of the $30,000 Paragon Oaks at Lone Star Park Saturday night. Rvaliant Chick finished half-a-length back in third.
Ridden for the second time by jockey Cody Smith, Lynnder 16 covered the 400 yards in :19.686 seconds, a 98 speed index into a 3 mph headwind. Trainer Jason Olmstead saddled the daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess to her seventh career win and the $16,500 winners' purse boosted her bank accounts to $592,121.
Tom Maher and Richard Tobin own the Oklahoma-bred filly out of Tinys Corona Queen by Corona Cartel. James and Marilyn Helzer is the breeder.
Paragon Farms and Phillip Stewart of Bob Moore Farms presented the winning connections a 2020 breeding to Champion Flying Cowboy 123 for winning the Paragon Oaks.

Rvaliant Chick picked up $3,000 for her third-place effort. Fernando Carrete trains the stakes winning daughter of Valiant Hero for owner Blanca Villegas-Varela. Bob and Deanna Williams bred the $113,527 earner in Oklahoma from the Chicks Beduino mare Rdustys Chick. Martin Felix was up.
Shake Em Rocks, Tempting Annee Gl, First Of 15, Wagon Chick V, Running A Wave and America Rules completed the field.
Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and Global Gaming LSP. The track offers a 16-day 2019 Quarter Horse Season, which opens Friday, September 20 and concludes on Saturday, November 9.
