OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–NOVEMBER 3, 2023–Leading breeder Bobby D. Cox purchased the Day 2 sale-topper, Hip 384 Carters Law, at the 46th annual Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale on Friday for $215,000.

"Day 2 results concluded the average price on horses sold today of $15,881 is down from last year’s second day average of $17,942. Eighty-seven percent (87%) of the horses offered today were sold."

Through three sessions (two days) 371 of the 513 horses on offer have sold for gross figures of $5,944,500. The two-day average price is $16,023 and the median is $8,500.

"We have a great selection of horses for the final session and looking forward to a good day to complete the 2023 Fall Mixed Sale" Kidney concluded.

Gordon Timm consigned Friday's sale-topper Carters Law, a stakes winning daughter of Carter Cartel from the Stoli mare Zooming Zoey B. The 4-year-old filly in training is a half-sister to stakes winner Zoomin B Cartel and stakes-placed Coronados Quicksilver.  This is the family of stakes winners Apollitical Ok, Takiana Romoanova B, Mr Taka B and Apollititaka. Babe On The Beach is the third dam.

Cox also purchased Friday's second high-seller, Hip 329 Shez Exposed, a sister to world champion Danjer for $110,000. Roger Daly, Agent for Corner K Quarter Horses, LLC consigned the FDD Dynasty mare out of Shez Jess Toxic by Take Off Jess. The 5-year-old mare sold in-foal to Kiss My Hocks.

Vista Equine Colorado, LLC, Agent for Papas Place, LLC sold Friday's third high-seller, Hip 531 Andras Hot Shot, a daughter of leading sire Favorite Cartel for $90,000. JGA Racing Stables Inc. the weanling half-sister to Los Alamitos Two Million Juvenile winner Lawless Wallace, from the stakes winning Apollitical Jess mare Elicity. AQHA Dam of Distinction Oh La Proud is the third dam.

Bobby D. Cox is the leading buyer through two days with three head for $400,000. Shane Snow paid $173,500 for five head and Deborah Smith has two purchases totaling $155,000.

Bobby D. Cox is also the sale's leading consignor or agent through two days with 16 head for gross receipts of $784,500.  Roger Daly, Agent for Corner K Quarter Horses, LLC had three head for $252,000 and Gordon Timm has sold two head totaling $236,000.
