Remington Park Schedules Two Training Race Days For Juveniles This Week

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 18, 2024—Remington Park will host 21 schooling races over two days this week, Wednesday (Feb 21) and Thursday (Feb 22), for 2-Year-Old Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosas.

First post each day is 11:00 am. (CST). All races are contested over a distance of 250 yards.

Wednesday's (Feb 21) program will feature 80 juveniles in 11 races.

Cowboy Quions, a half-brother to last season's multiple grade 1 winner and AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Dark Nme, will head Tuesday's program in Race 7.  Owner Jose Francisco Robles paid $300,000 at the Heritage Place September Yearling Sale for the son of all-time leading first-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123.

Trainer Pedro Hernandez-Pulido will saddle the sorrel colt, out of Quions by Spit Curl Jess, from post position #3.
Cowboy Quions is also a half-brother to stakes winner Mr Dillard.  Quions is a half-sister to six black type include Grade 1 winner Cr Tukernuck. The third-dam, Fast First Prize, won the Heritage Place Futurity(G1 and is an AQHA Dam of Distinction.

Trainer Trey Wood will send out Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Yearling Sale topper Ocean Bridge in Race 7 Tuesday. Owner Paragon Farms, LLC paid $260,000 for the Woodbridge full brother to Zia Futurity(RG1) winner Mister Riptide.

Out of the stakes winning Ocean Runaway mare Ms Riptide, Ocean Bridge is half-brother to three black type.  The second and third dams are both stakes winners and multiple stakes producers.

Thursday, February 22

Thursday (Feb 22) program will feature 74 juveniles in 10 races.

Trainer Trey Wood and owner Paragon Farms, LLC will team up with the top-two summer sale yearling graduates set to make their debuts on Wednesday.

Wood will send out Paragon Farms' $290,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Famous Booty from post 4 in Race 7.  The daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess is a full sibling to Heritage Place Derby(G2) winner Inaugurator and Lovington Stakes(G2) winner Roman Solider Cd.

Famous Booty is out of the restricted Grade 1 winning Dash To Fame mare Famous Phoebe, a multiple black type producer from the family of champions Heartswideopen and Special Phoebe.

In Race 6 Wood conditions Paragon Farms' $240,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate Famous Train. The son of world champion sire Freighttrain B will start in Post 2.

Famous Train is a half-brother to four black type including Southwest Juvenile Championship(G1) winner Jest Famous.  His dam, Famous Corona Lady by Corona Cartel, is a half-sister to champion and world champion sire One Famous Eagle.
