CLAREMORE, OK–NOVEMBER 16, 2023–Fastest qualifier Relentless Fantsy, a Louisiana-bred daughter of champion Hes Relentless racing for History Farms LLC, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for Sunday"s 400-yard, $363,703 Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship (R) at Will Rogers Downs.

A $40,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, Relentless Fantsy made her local debut with a dominating 4 1/4-length victory in the third of eight trials on November 5. The filly has earned $18,619 from six outs in three states, including New Mexico, and her record includes a third-place finish in the September 29, 350-yard Valley Junction Juvenile Stakes at Prairie Meadows.

Relentless Fantsy drew post 5 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo for trainer Jason Olmstead.

Olmstead will also send out Thomas J. Scheckel's Sheza Famous Candy, a stakes-winning and graded stakes placed California-bred daughter of One Famous Eagle and a $72,000 buy at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Sheza Famous Candy has won four of eight outs -- including the 350-yard, $67,000 John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge on August 19 -- and she has banked $142,772.

The eighth-fastest qualifier Sheza Famous Candy drew post 8 and will be ridden by Ramiro Garcia.

Also on Monday, 10 juvenile colts and geldings are entered back in the 400-yard, $290,947 Black Gold Futurity Championship (R).

Brenda Reiswig's Midnight Politics, the fastest qualifier from six trials run on November 6, drew post 3 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo for trainer Jason Olmstead. A homebred son of world champion Apollitical Jess, the bay gelding has earned $228,642 from seven starts in Oklahoma and New Mexico, and his early season record included a third-place finish, three-quarters of a length behind winner San Lencho, in Oklahoma's richest horse race, the June 3, $1.208-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park.

The Black Gold finals are restricted to 2-year-olds sired by participating stallions.
