ALBUQUERQUE, NM—NOVEMBER 28, 2016—Horsemen are reminded that nominations close on December 1 for the 2017 inaugural running of the 440-yard, $200,000-est. La Fiesta Derby at Albuquerque Downs.

The $200 nomination fee is due December 1 and is followed by sustaining payments of $300 (due January 15, 2017), $600 (due April 15, 2017), and $700 (due July 15, 2017). The fee to enter the trials, which will be run September 8 will be $1,000. The final will be run on September 23.

Also, nominations for the following Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse stakes close on January 15, 2017:

• $125,000-est. Casino at the Downs Thoroughbred Derby (R): $250 to nominate
• $150,000-est. First Moonflash Quarter Horse Maturity (R): $500 to nominate
