SHELBYVILLE,IN—APRIL 27, 2016—A number of nomination and sustaining payments are due Sunday, May 1 for horses racing at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino this season.

Quarter Horse racing in the state of Indiana continues to thrive with Indiana Grand's 120-day racing season that boasts 20 stakes for Quarter Horses with more than $1.5 million in purses offered during a season that features six all-Quarter Horse racing nights.

The 'All Quarter Horse' race cards are set for June 4, July 9, August 13, September 10, October 8 and October 22.

Nominations for the $100,000-added Blue River Derby, $40,000-added Bradford Stakes and $40,000 Indiana Grand Classic are due May 1.

To nominate to the Blue River Derby, a 400 yards event for 3-year-old accredited Indiana-breds, the May 1 nomination fee is $300. Horsemen and women can nominate to the open 400 yard Bradford Stakes, for 3-year-olds & up, for $100. The nomination fee for the Indiana Grand Classic, for 3-year-old & up fillies and mares, is $100.

Races with a sustaining payment due May 1st are:

• $300 for the Indiana Grand QHRAI Derby – $50,000 Added
  3 years Old- Open - 400 yards
  Trials: Jun 25 / Finals: Jul 9

• $400 for the Heartland Futurity – $50,000 Added
  2 years Old- Open - 300 yards
  Trials: July 9 / Finals: Jul 30

• $500 for the Harley Greene Derby – $75,000 Added
  3 years Old - IN Sired-350 yards
  Trials: May 20 /Finals Jun 4

• $500 for the Born Runner Classic – $75,000 Added
  4 yrs Old & Up - IN Sired- 400 yards
  Finals: May 28

• $500 for the Jaguar Rocket Stakes – $100,000 Added
  2 years Old - IN Bred - 300 yards
  Trials: Jun 4 / Finals: Jun 18

• $500 for the Gordon Mobley Futurity – $150,000 Added
  2 years Old - IN Sired - 300 yards
  Trials: Jun 4 / Finals: Jun 18

All payments are due by midnight on the due date If they fall on a Sunday or holiday the payment date will be extended to the following day.
