West Texas Racing Partners' Cowboys Gun Z, a son of Flying Cowboy 123 trained by Mike Joiner and the second-fastest overall qualifier, is the top earner in the field at $1,516,000 from five starts, most of which comes from his half-length victory in American Quarter Horse racing's richest race, the September 4, $3-million All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

The Oklahoma-bred gelding and $125,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale drew post 2 and will be ridden by Agustin Silva.

The fastest overall qualifier, TYKHE Racing's Dark NME, drew the rail post and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon for trainer Santos Carrizales Jr. A $65,000 buy at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, the daughter of champion Hes Relentless has banked $1,036,062 from eight races, and her seven wins include the April 21, 330-yard Remington Park Futurity (RG1) for Oklahoma-breds, and the July 16, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Other prominent Texas Classic Futurity finalists include San Lencho, a homebred Apollitical Jess colt racing for Rogelio Marquez Jr. from the barn of trainer Jesus M. Marquez, and Dollar Bill, a Kiss My Hocks colt owned by Genesis Tovar and trained by Juan Diaz Jr. San Lencho has won all four of his outs, including Oklahoma's richest horse race, the June 3, $1.208-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park, and he has earned $532,856.

San Lencho drew post 3 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.

A $39,000 purchase at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale in San Antonio, Dollar Bill brings in a five-race win streak that includes a neck victory in the 350-yard, $700,000 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1) at Retama Park on August 5. The gelding drew post 9 and will be ridden by Jose Herbert.
