GUTHRIE, OK—SEPTEMBER 14, 2011—Louisiana Senator, who this year at Remington Park won two Graded Stakes and set a 400-yard track record, will enter stud in 2012 at Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Already an earner of $377,908, Louisiana Senator SI-111 will race the remainder of the current racing season before arriving at Lazy E.
In three starts this year at Remington Park, he set a 400-yard track record (:19.101) in winning the Leo Stakes G1 by 1-1/2 lengths over a field that included G1 winners Streakin Down and Separate Bet; won the Eastex Handicap G1 by a length and was second by a head in the Remington Park Invitational Championship G1.
Louisiana Senator recorded Speed Indexes of 107 (440 yards), 111 (400 yards) and 99 (350 yards) in those three outs at Remington.
Through September 15, Louisiana Senator is the nation’s No. 1 money earning aged stallion. Currently ranked No. 3 in the nation on AQHA’s national poll of all horses three and older, Louisiana Senator is the top ranked stallion on that poll. He ranked No. 1 in that poll for many weeks this year.
Louisiana Senatorr also won the Golden State Juvenile in 2008 and was second to Champion Foose in the $1,000,000 Los Alamitos Super Derby G1 in 2009.
Louisiana Senator broke his maiden by 2-1/2 lengths at 250 yards in his first start on March 20 of his two-year-old year at Remington and in his next 16 outs was off the board only twice with all those races being stakes trials or finals Ruidoso, Remington, Los Alamitos and Sunland.
Grade I winner Louisiana Senator is the No. 1 money earner sired by Champion and Leading Sire Jess Louisiana Blue. His dam is the La Primera Del Año Derby G2 finalist Corona Perfection SI-95, $20,776, who also is the dam of Jess Charming SI-95, $82,605, a finalist in the Golden State Futurity G1, West Texas Futurity G1, etc.
This is also the female family of G2 winner InfamouscaperSI-109,$290,967(currently racing), stakes winner Aluvion (TB), $127,972, etc.
