ELGIN, TX—JANUARY 28, 2010—Multiple grade 1 sire Jody O Toole died yesterday at Southwest Stallion Station where he had stood for many years. He was 25.

Racing at 2 and 3, the son of Jodys Glory won or placed in 16 of 25 starts while earning $280,721. He won the Graham Farms Futurity(G3), Texas Futurity(G3), Coors Distributors Futurity(G3) JAL Ranch Futurity and Texas Poor Boy Sprint Futurity(R). He was also a finalist in the All American Futurity(G1), All American Derby(G1), New Mexico State Fair Handicap(G2) and Z Wayne Griffin Directors Stakes(G3).

Owned by the Estate of Bob Douglas, Jody O Toole sired earners of more than $7.7 million. From 18 crops to reach racing age he has sired 362 ROM, 300 winners (58%), 33 stakes winners (6%) and 28 stakes-placed (5%).

Among his leading money earners were Show Me Your Toole ($381,419 to 3, 2009) 1st Dash For Cash Futurity(G1); Gol ($371,538) 1st Heritage Place Futurity(G1) and Retama Park Futurity(G1); Phoebes Otoole ($370,976) 1st Heritage Place Futurity(G1), Speedhorse Gold & Silver Cup Futurity(RG2); Big Time Hero ($330,778) 1st Rainbow QH Futurity(G1); and Jodys Money Pop ($302,776) 1st TQHA Sale Futurity(RG1), Texas Derby Challenge(G3).

Jody O Toole sired the dams of earners in excess of $2 million including Swingin Jess ($426,652), Zoomin For Bux ($259,739), Dooleys Medallion ($237,250) and Heza Jodys Toast ($203,617), etc.

He was a half-brother to the dams of champion All American Futurity(G1) winner and grade 1 sire Eyesa Special ($1,394,91) and champion and grade 1 sire Dashin Is Easy ($775,123).
