World Champion Special Leader Returns to Colorado

FT. COLLINS< CO—DECEMBER 21, 2009—Former World Champion and Champion sire Special Leader will return to Royal Vista Equine Inc. for the 2010 breeding season. His fee has been set as private treaty.

The son of World Champion Triple Crown winner Special Effort is owned by Joe Kirk Fulton and stood at Fulton Quien Sabe Stonewall Ranch in 2009.

Special Leader has sired 57 stakes winners with earnings in excess of $11.9 million and average earnings per starter of $16,958. He is the sire of champion Leading Spirit ($811,413) winner of the Ruidoso Futurity(G1), Rainbow Futurity(G1) and West Texas Futurity; One Special Shade ($368,927) winner of the Sunland Park Fall QH Futurity(G2), etc.

As a broodmare sire his has produced the dams of World Champion Dm Shicago ($1,873,927), Kathys Star Quest ($415,048), Eyesa Shaker ($256,473), etc.

Special Leader won or placed in 13 of 18 career starts while earning the title of World Champion, Champion Aged Horse and Champion Aged Stallion. He earned $292,605 with wins that included the Champion of Champions(G1) and All American Gold Cup(G1).
