A leading percentage sire of winners and black type, Lil Kool Wagon died today in a paddock accident.

GAINSVILLE, TX–NOVEMBER 23, 2023–Multiple stakes sire Lil Kool Wagon SI 95 had his stallion career cut short following a paddock accident this morning (Nov. 23).  The son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon was set to stand his first season at Snow Ranch in Gainesville, Texas.

He was owned by Shane and Brooke Snow.

Bred in Oklahoma by Michael and Donalda Pohl, Lil Kool Wagon was out of the Grade 3 winning Mr Jess Perry mare Little Kool Barbie SI 104 ($75,238). She is the dam of 22 ROM, 17 winners and 7 black type.

The second dam is the 2-time AQHA Racing champion Kool Kue Baby SI 118 ($7893,519), a sister to Remington Park Derby(G1) winner Gone Kool Man SI 109 ($493,683).  This is the family of stakes winners Kool Country Man SI 105 ($221,142), One Kool Dreamer SI 105 ($187,330), Kool And Fabulous SI 105 ($146,340), First Kool Baby SI 105 ($158,261), First N Kool SI 106 ($92,393), etc.

A finalist in the Oklahoma Derby, Lil Kool Wagon won or placed in three of six career starts.
