HONDO, NM–OCTOBER 4, 2023–The 2021 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale high-seller First Texas Flash will begin his stallion career in 2024 at La Feliz Montana Ranch in Hondo, New Mexico. His fee has been set at $4,500.

Owned by West Texas Racing, First Texas Flash, an unraced son of leading sire First Moonflash, sold for $800,000 at the 2021 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.

First Texas Flash's sire, AQHA Racing champion First Moonflash SI 122 (14 wins, $969,828) won the The Championship At Sunland Park-G1 while setting a New Word Record for 400 yards in :18.735.

First Moon Flash has sired 57 stakes winners, 3 champions, 407 winners with earning over $27.5 million. His top performers include Flash and Roll SI 99 (champion 3 times, $1,710,718, Los Alamitos 2 Million Futurity-G1, etc.), Handsome Jack Flash SI 104 (champion twice, $1,517,491, All American Futurity-G1, etc.), Foxy Moonflash-QH SI 102 (champion, $283,978, New Mexico Fillies and Mares Championship [R]-G1, etc.), Too Flash for You-QH SI 102 ($1,065,692, All American Derby-G1, etc.), etc.
