Ls Jacks Back Gets First Stakes Victory In $68,000 Mighty Deck Three at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 16, 2024—Multiple graded stakes finalist Ls Jacks Back got his first career stakes win on Saturday when he defeated longshot Deutsch by half-a-length in the $68,000 Mighty Deck Three Stakes at Remington Park.

Ls Jacks Back led every step of the way under jockey Ali Rivera to completed the 250 yards in :13.146 seconds, a 98 speed index.  The winner's purse valued a $39,000 increases the 5-year-old Corona Cartel geldings earnings to $237,667.

Leading trainer John Stinebaugh conditions the Oklahoma-bred for owner LS Racing, Inc. (Lynn Smith) of Comber, Ontario Canada. D. Bowen, S. Taylor and J. Smith Farms bred Ls Jacks Back from the champion filly and multiple graded stakes producer Pj Chick In Black by Desiro.

"He’s a good one," said trainer John Stinebaugh. "He’s like a fine wine, just getting better with age. I believe we will send him into the Mr Jet Moore Stakes (on Saturday, April 6 at Remington Park, a 350-yard race for Oklahoma-bred Quarter Horses)."

Deutsch (24-1), ridden by jockey Cristian Esquada, surged late at to get second-place money worth $13,000. Bred-owned and trained by Patrick E. Swan, Deutsch is a 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred son of multiple stakes sire One Fabulous Eagle. Bred from the Fredricksburg mare Hollie Jollie, Deutsch has banked $98,190 in 16 career starts.

Apollitical Payoff and Rgs Gold Wagon dead-heated for the show position, each earned $5,525. 

Jason Olmstead trains Apollitical Payoff for owner-breeder Brenda Reiswig. Edwin Escobedo rode the stakes winning son of leading sire Apollitical Jess from the Tres Seis mare Seis The Royal Cash. The 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred has earned $276,238.

A multiple graded stakes winner, Rgs Gold Wagon races for owner Mauricio Garza and is trained by Roy Garza. Cordarelton Benn rode the Prized Wagon 4-year-old out of Ja Gold Debutante by Gol. Also bred by Roy Garza, Rgs Gold Wagon has banked $316,756 in 22 starts.

Wasting Light, Wieburg, Jc Black Mamba and Jt Im That Boy completed the field.
