TULSA, OK—JUNE 11, 2025—Fair Meadows will showcase a pair of stakes races on Saturday’s 10-race program, highlighted by the $15,000 Fair Meadows Juvenile Stakes in Race 9 and the $15,000 Golden Driller Stakes, setting the stage for an exciting evening of Quarter Horse racing. First post is 6:00 pm (CDT).

Little Sure Shot Headlines Fair Meadows Juvenile on Friday Night

A trio of talented two-year-old fillies will take center stage in the $15,000 Fair Meadows Juvenile Stakes, scheduled as Race 9 on Saturday at Fair Meadows Race Course.

The 350-yard dash for juvenile Quarter Horses has an approximate post time of 9:20 p.m. (CDT) and features a field loaded with early potential, headlined by morning-line favorite Little Sure Shot.

Installed as the 3-1 choice, Little Sure Shot enters the stakes off a rough trip in her last start, where she broke poorly and never factored in a Heritage Place Futurity trials at Remington Park.

Previously, the Missouri-bred filly dazzled on debut with a sharp maiden score, drawing clear in a 300-yard sprint in early April.

Bred and owned by Jon and Brant Barley, the daughter of leading 2-year-old sire Flying Cowboy 123 out of Sweet First Leader by Sweet First Down is trained by Josue Jacob Garcia and will be ridden by Mario Delgado. In two career starts, she owns a record of one win and earnings of $11,990, with a top speed figure of 95.

Second choice on the morning line at 7-2 is Cynamon Toast Krunch, a New Mexico-bred daughter of Eye Am King out of Aries Rising by Sixes Royal. She is campaigned by Giddy Up Racing, trained by Joe M. Davis, and will be piloted by Erik N. Esqueda.

After a professional debut victory in March at Remington Park, she encountered trouble while finishing mid-pack in allowance company last time out. Bred by Michael Roberts and purchased for $14,000 at the Ruidoso New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale, she brings earnings of $12,065 into her third start.

Also drawing solid consideration is Jc Fancy Eagle, a 4-1 shot who broke her maiden with a front-running win on May 25.

The Oklahoma-bred filly is owned and bred by Julio Contreras and trained by Rhonda Levon Valdivia. By multiple stakes sire This Is An Eagle out of Fancy Creole Queen by Im A Fancy Pyc, she will be ridden by Jose Vega.

With five career starts under her belt, Jc Fancy Eagle is the most experienced of the top trio and has earned $20,564 while posting consistent efforts against maiden and trial company.

Saturday night’s Fair Meadows Juvenile promises to showcase some of the region’s most promising freshman runners, with a well-matched field ready to dash for early-season stakes glory.

Eye Eye Dynasty Tops Competitive Field in Friday’s Golden Driller Stakes at Fair Meadows

Another trio of standout Quarter Horses will headline a competitive edition of the $15,000 Golden Driller Stakes on Saturday night at Fair Meadows Race Course. The 350-yard sprint for three-year-olds and older is slated as Race 8 on the card, with a scheduled post time of 8:55 p.m. CDT.

Morning-line favoritism falls to Eye Eye Dynasty, a consistent 4-year-old gelding who will break from the rail for owners J and J Stone Co., Inc. Trained by Jose Cruz Villafranco and piloted by Erik N. Esqueda, the Oklahoma-bred son of four-time world champion sire FDD Dynasty enters off a credible stakes try in the Grade 2 Bob Moore Memorial at Remington Park, where he encountered a sloppy track and finished seventh.

Earlier this season, Eye Eye Dynasty captured an allowance at Remington with a sharp final surge and boasts a lifetime mark of three wins from 18 starts, earnings of $54,783, and a top speed index of 98.

He was bred by Sam W. Green and purchased for $32,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Out of the Captain Courage mare Eye Eye Captain, he returns to the 350-yard distance with designs on earning his second win of 2025.

Chief among his challengers is The Durango Lights, installed at 3-1 on the morning line for breeder-owner Gildardo Avila Torres. The gray gelding has emerged as a rising threat this season, capturing two of three starts for trainer Cosme Velasquez.

Aram S. Martinez will be back in the irons following their narrow victory in a hotly contested 400-yard optional claiming event at Remington Park on May 16, where The Durango Lights outdueled Lucky Luke at the wire with a 91 speed index performance.

By multiple stakes sire The Marfa Lights and out of Coronas Tea Sipper by Wave Carver, the 4-year-old has won three of ten lifetime starts and banked $49,474. His affinity for the 350-yard trip—where he’s recorded two wins from four tries—makes him a major contender.

Flying Nova 123, listed at 4-1, rounds out the top trio of betting choices for Friday’s feature. Owned and bred by Rick and Connie Dickson, the 3-year-old filly will look to rebound after a pair of off-the-board finishes this season. She is trained by Jesus Ruben Ruiz and will be ridden by Rolando Raudales.

The daughter of leading sire Flying Cowboy 123, out of Sr Shegone by Mighty B Valiant, turned in a strong juvenile campaign in 2024, winning four races, including a narrow allowance win over Eye The Cartel at Will Rogers Downs. With a career-best 96 speed index and earnings of $47,274 from ten starts, Flying Nova 123 has proven class but will need to recapture her earlier form to contend on Saturday.

The Golden Driller Stakes drew a strong field and promises a high-speed showdown at one of Oklahoma’s signature summer Quarter Horse meets.
