Ojd Tempt Me Not, under jockey Nestor Duran, won the $270,400 Governors Cup Futurity at Wyoming Downs on Sunday.

EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 9, 2026—Ojd Tempt Me Not surged to the lead and drew clear late Sunday afternoon to capture the $270,400 Governors Cup Futurity at Wyoming Downs, defeating Cyber Hostage by a neck in the 350-yard final.

Ridden by Nestor Duran, Ojd Tempt Me Not completed the 350 yards in 17.429 over a fast racing surface, earning a 99 speed index. Cyber Hostage finished a neck behind the winner and held a 1 1/2-length advantage over third-place finisher Cyber Buzz. Cyber Buzz was another neck in front of fourth-place Sp Sinful Saint.

The victory was worth $124,384, and increased Ojd Tempt Me Not's career earnings to $156,324. The 2-year-old gelding has won four of five starts with one second-place finish. Sunday's Governors Cup Futurity victory was his second futurity win of the season after also capturing the Idaho Cup Futurity.

Trainer Oscar Jaime Diaz conditions Ojd Tempt Me Not for himself and co-owner Karla Diaz Gomez . The Idaho-bred son of champion sire Tempting Dash is out of Ojd One Favorite Jj, by Favorite Cartel. The owners also bred the chestnut gelding.

Cyber Hostage earned $54,080 for his runner-up effort. The Joe M. Davis trainee, ridden by Juan Francisco Garcia, Jr., was away well and produced a good effort but could not get past the winner. The 2-year-old gelding has compiled four wins and two seconds from seven starts and earnings of $178,321. He also finished fourth in the Remington Park Futurity(RG1) in April.

Heavy Hitters Racing Stables owns Cyber Hostage, a son of leading second-crop sire Cyber Monday from the Hes Relentless mare Df Zookie Cookie. Darling Farms bred the gelding, who was purchased for $29,000 at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Cyber Buzz collected $27,040 for third, boosting her career earnings to $93,230. The 2-year-old filly has five wins and one third from seven career starts. Alex J. Torres-Casas owns and trains Cyber Buzz, who was ridden by Brandon Mendez Guevara.

Bred by Thomas J. Scheckel, she is a daughter of Cyber Monday out of Hunny Bee, by Apollitical Jess. Cyber Buzz was purchased for $8,000 at the 2025 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Earlier this season, she won the Desert Classic Futurity and was a finalist in the 307HR Open QH Futurity.

Completing the field behind the top three were Sp Sinful Saint, fourth; Dulces Fire Z, fifth; Special to Mi, sixth; Rrelentless Red, seventh; The Love Lights, eighth; and Gold N Kool, ninth. Trickey Ways fell and did not finish. There was a stewards' inquiry into the running of the race, but no action was taken.
