Wynnchester, jockey Mario Delgado, was an easy winner in the Grade 1 Remington Park Distance Championship on Saturday.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 30, 2026—Wynnchester powered away from his rivals to score a decisive victory in the Grade 1 Remington Park Distance Championship for Quarter Horses at 870 yards on Saturday evening at Remington Park.

The race carried a purse of $58,000.

Owned by Lucky Ladies and trained by Justin Joiner, Wynnchester covered the distance in :44.631 over a fast track while defeating Handin Out Candy by 3 3/4 lengths.

Mario Delgado had the riding assignment aboard the 5-year-old brown gelding, who was sent off as the even-money favorite. Wynnchester earned $29,700 for the victory and increased his lifetime bankroll with the Grade 1 score.

Bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox, Wynnchester is by leading sire Favorite Cartel and out of the FDD Dynasty mare Nellie Delaney. The gelding was sold as a 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling for $90,000. The multiple graded winner has won four of 20 starts and earned $107,743.

Handin Out Candy finished second for owner Emilio Perez and trainer Paul Sedillo. Champion jockey James Flores rode the son of Jess Good Candy from the Corona Cartel mare One Famous Lady. Bred in Texas by Paris Wixon, the runner-up earned $9,900. The 7-year-old was sold at the 2025 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale. A 12-time winner, he has earned over $364,000.

Third-place finisher Fl Rizzo earned $5,445 for owners Lindley Myers and Julia Myers. Trained by Matt Whitekiller and ridden by Cody Smith, the 6-year-old gray gelding is by champion and multiple stakes sire Kvn Corona and out of the Rebate Fly mare Fly Reba Fly. He was also bred in Washington by Lindley and Julia Myers. He has earned $113,812.

Rock Ya Later finished fourth and was followed by Cash Back Hero in fifth and Into the Lite in sixth.

The Remington Park Distance Championship Stakes was contested under clear skies with temperatures at 86 degrees and a 15 mph headwind.
