OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–APRIL 16, 2026– She the CEO was hammered at the betting windows like she couldn’t lose and then the filly backed it up on the track, winning the Remington Park featured allowance under jockey Roman Cruz on Thursday night.

The win in the 11th race, the finale on the card, gave Cruz bookend wins as he also was the winner of the first race of the evening aboard the Paint, Cancel Culture, for leading trainer Dee Keener.

She the CEO, a 3-year-old Texas-bred filly by Hawkeye, out of the Favorite Cartel mare NSM Favorite Zoomer, was bet down drastically from her morning line odds of 12-1 and was sent off as the 3-2 post-time favorite. She shot out of the gate from the number one post-position and had to hold off the late charge by the horse on the far outside, Instagram Diva in the post-position 10. When all was said and done, She the CEO won by a neck and paid $5 to win, $3.40 to place and $2.60 to show. The filly’s winning time for the 300 yards was :15.415 over a fast track as she earned a 92 speed index for trainer Julio Rascon-Almanza.

The score was the second win of She the CEO’s short career in only six starts. She earned $14,100 for owners R.L. Racing from the $25,200 allowance purse for non-winners of two career races. That improved her record to six attempts, two wins and one second-place effort for $48,407 in career earnings. She the CEO is turning out to be quite the bargain as her owners picked her up at the Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in January this year for a mere $15,000.

Cruz’s two wins on the night solidified his standing of second place in the jockeys’ race with 19 victories on the season, but he still is a canyon’s shout away from leading rider Juan Pulido’s 39 trips to the winner’s circle. Pulido was shut out on five mounts Thursday, a rarity for him.

Instagram Diva (4-1) finished 1-3/4 lengths ahead of third-place finisher Viva Le Venus (28-1) in the feature.

She the CEO had not made it to the winner’s circle since breaking her maiden at first asking at Louisiana Downs in her career debut on March 7, 2025 in the Louisiana Downs Futurity trials. She ran fifth in that futurity final and nearly was a winner in her first try as a 3-year-old at Remington Park this meet when she ran second, beaten only a half-length against allowance non-winners of two last time out on March 13.

Other jockeys with riding doubles on Thursday night were David Alvarez, Jr., and Nestor Duran. On the training side, Leonardo Alcala moved one closer to leading trainer Keener as he had two wins on the night to Keener’s one. Keener now leads that race 25 wins to Alcala’s 23.

The nearly $1 million Remington Park Futurity will be contested Saturday night as part of a 12-race program with eight stakes events. The Futurity is scheduled for the 12th and final race at approximately 11pm.

Remington Park racing continues Friday through Sunday, April 17-19, with the first race nightly at 6pm and on Sunday at 4pm. All times are Central.
