Final Countdown! Just Four Days Remain in the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction.

SHELBYVILLE, INDIANA–JANUARY 8, 2026– With just four days left, the Indiana Quarter Horse Racing Association (QHRAI) Stallion Service Auction is quickly approaching its conclusion, giving breeders limited time to secure proven stallion services while positioning their foals for one of Indiana’s strongest racing programs.

The QHRAI Stallion Service Auction has long served as a cornerstone program for Indiana Quarter Horse racing, offering breeders access to potentially discounted stallion services while directly enhancing future purses. Eighty percent of all funds collected through the auction are added back into the Stallion Service Auction Futurity and Derby in the appropriate years.

Foals resulting from stallion breedings sold through the auction are eligible to compete in the Stallion Service Auction races, provided the foal’s owner is a current QHRAI member. Annual membership is $30.

The Indiana Stallion Service Auction Futurity is run as a Restricted Grade 3 event, with the 2025 purse set at $230,111 on a $600 entry fee paid over two years. The race is open to all eligible horses and continues to draw strong participation each year.

In addition, QHRAI offers a $5,000 sire bonus to the stallion owner when one of their offspring wins the Futurity. Previous sire bonus recipients include A Flare For Ivory, Apollitical Blood, Apollitical Spirit, EOS Apolitical Win, Escondido Beach, Mighty B Valiant, and Seize The Win.
