ELGIN, TX—DECEMBER 22, 2025—Mark your calendars for the 2026 TQHA Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet, set for January 23–24 at the Hilton Waco in Waco, Texas. The two-day gathering will bring together TQHA leadership, members, and committee representatives for association business, planning, and awards recognition.
The Annual Meeting remains a cornerstone event for TQHA, blending governance, youth involvement, and recognition of outstanding achievements within the Texas Quarter Horse industry.
The schedule opens Friday afternoon with the Executive Committee Meeting, followed by the Show Committee Meeting and an evening cocktail reception. Saturday’s agenda includes the Race Committee Meeting, TQHYA Board Meeting, the Board of Directors/General Membership Meeting, and concludes with the Awards Banquet and presentation on Saturday evening.
Awards Banquet reservations are also due by January 5, 2026. You may mail the registration form with payment, or email it to Scott Sherwood at ssherwood@tqha.com with credit card information completed on the form. CLICK HERE to download the form.
A special room rate of $135 has been secured for TQHA guests at the Hilton Waco, with reservations required by January 5, 2026.
To reserve a room, call 254-754-8484. The special rate code is TQH, and the meetings are open to all TQHA members. CLICK HERE to make your reservations online.
TQHA has already determined the racing horse award winners. However, final totals for Leading Sire, Leading Dam, Leading Stallion Owner, Leading Owner, and Leading Breeder remain pending while the Texas Racing Commission (TxRC) clears several races. TxRC has been issuing rulings and clearances more quickly in recent weeks, and TQHA is hopeful the final winners will be confirmed by banquet weekend.
