Temptingjess For LMG (#1) battles to a head win over Ramble It On (#2) to get the fastest time in Saturday's El Moro De Cumpas Stakes trials at Rillito Park.

Temptingjess For LMG, Ramble It On Battle For Top Mark in El Moro De Cumpas Stakes Trails

TUCSON, AZ—MARCH 3, 2019—Temptingjess For LMG battled to a nose win over Ramble It On to set the top qualifying time Saturday from three trials contested at Rillito Park for the El Moro De Cumpas Stakes.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Rillito Park on Sunday, March 17th to vie for the winner's share of the $15,000-added purse.

Ridden by jockey Martin Osuna, Temptingjess For LMG bumped at the 1/16th pole but recovered nicely to complete the 330 yards in :16.746 seconds, a 102 speed index into a 3 mph crosswind, securing the top qualifying time.

Trainer Jose G. Badilla, Sr. conditions the 4-year-old son of champion/champion sire Tempting Dash for owner Tony E. Sedillo.

Bred in Texas by Schiller Ranch LLC, Temptinjess For LMG has compiled a (10) 3-0-1 record and has banked $24,425. The sorrel horse is out of Jump Down Jess by Mr Jess Perry.

Also bumping at the 1/16th pole Ramble It On was clocked in :16.750 seconds, also a 102 speed index, to get the second fastest time.

Jockey Joseph Belloc, Jr. had the riding call for owner-trainer Monica Oretga. Randal Schwartz bred the Ima Ramblin On gelding in North Dakota from the Make It Anywhere mare Make It Special. The 4-year-old has earned just over $29,000.
