Weetonas Lawfawn Returns To Remington Park For Second Stakes Win

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 21, 2018— Weetonas Lafawn avenged her string of three consecutive seventh-place finishes by scoring her second lifetime stakes win in the $65,500 Mr Master Bug Stakes for 3-year-old Oklahoma-breds at Remington Park. Exactly 363 days earlier, she won the 2017 Remington Park Juvenile Stakes.

Weetonas Lawfawn was dispatched at 28-1 odds in the wagering and won by three-quarters of a length, covering the 350 yards in :17.151 over a sloppy track while under jockey G.R. Carter. A 10-time American Quarter Horse Association Champion Jockey, Carter earned his second stakes victory of the rainy Saturday evening.
