BELCOURT, ND—JUNE 25, 2017—Sweet Easy Cash, a 9-year-old multiple stakes winning son of Such Easy Cash, battled Winning Script to a neck win in the $17,729 NDQHRA Maturity Sunday afternoon at Chippewa Downs. Chicks Skidoo was three-quarters back in the show position.
Ridden by jockey Jeremy Herman Sweet Easy Cash completed the 350 yards in :18.240 seconds to get his 20th career win in 55 starts. The $8,865 winners' purse boosted the chestnut gelding's earnings total to $61,132.
Trainer Leo Herman saddled the winner for owner Dennis Halvorson. Bubel bred Sweet Easy Cash in North Dakota from the Major Rime mare Sweeter Then Rime.
Winning Script, a 4-year-old Free Script gelding, races for owner Steve Leonard and trainer Cole Wilson. Marcus Delorme rode the Darrel Smith North Dakota bred from the Runaway Winner mare Winners Script. He earned $4,078 for the effort.
Leo Deloreme saddled third-place finisher Chicks Skidoo for owner Larris Delorme. Bred by Terry Reed, Chicks Skidoo is out of Pals Dashin Chick by Dashin Chico. The 9-year-old mare picked up $2,305.
No Such Tellin, Ss Dynasty, Dynasty Time and Jennas Easy Eagle completed the field.
