A Cartel Hustle Easy Winner in Idaho Cup Quarter Horse Futurity Trials

ROCK SPRINGS, WY—AUGUST 27, 2016—Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity winner A Cartel Hustle cruised to a 2 ˝ length win in the first of four trials Saturday to the Idaho Cup Quarter Horse Futurity at Sandy Downs.

Ridden by jockey Nakia Ramirez, A Cartel Hustle posted the top qualifying mark of :17.455 seconds, a 108 speed index into a 10 mph crosswind for 350 yards.

Mark Hanson saddled the son of Favorite Cartel to his second win in six starts for owners RTM Stables, LLC, Larry Chapplea nd Dick Wasia. The homebred from the Feature Mr Jess mare Mothers Gift has compiled a (6) 2-1-1 record. Also a finalist in the BItterrroot Futurity in June, he has earned $12,918.
