OGDEN, UT—AUGUST 24, 2016—The Utah Quarter Horse Racing Association has released an on-line version of their 2016 Fall Yearling and Mixed Quarter Horse Sale set Saturday, September 10 at the Golden Spike Event Center Sales Pavilion in Ogden, Utah.

Sixty-one head have been cataloged for the sale starting at 3:00 pm (MDT). However, sale goers are urged to get there early for a 1:00 p.m. sale preview.

"We have a very exciting lineup of quality horses. We have yearlings sired by some of the hottest sires of the year and have racing age horses that that are proven at the track and can go back to the track or move on to the barrel arena," UQHRA Racing secretary Jeannie Hullinger said today. "We also have broodmares in foal to some proven sires and a couple young sires," she added.

A number of the sale yearlings being offered are eligible for the 2017 Beehive Futurity scheduled to run at Laurel Brown Track in Utah. The list of stallions that their 2015 foals are eligible is who's who of the industry.

"We had a very exciting year this year in the Intermountain area and we ran for over $350,000 in purses in our six days of racing in Utah. 2017 is looking to be even better. Our sale continues to grow and getting better every year and it is looking like this year will be better still," Hullinger says.
