Most Lucrative Grade 1 Refrigerator Stakes In History Is On The Line Sunday Night

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—OCTOBER 23, 2020—The purse for this year's Grade 1 Refrigerator is worth a cool $200,000 in purse money. That's twice more than it's ever been and the last time it was at $100,000 was in 2011.

The 440-yard Grade 1 event will go on Sunday (Oct. 25). It's the scheduled 9th race on the 11-race card. Gates open at 5 p.m. first race post time is 6:35 p.m.

This 24th edition of the Refrigerator supports a field of 12 accomplished horses and is sure to be a super exciting race, so make plans to come be a part of the affair.

Breaking from the far outside is Jose Estrada Quarter Horses' Eysa Jess Jumpn. This graded stakes winner you may remember, won the 2019 edition of the Grade 2 Dash For Cash Derby here at Lone Star Park.

Better than that, this 4-year-old filly who is by leading sire Heza Fast Dash, has been on a huge win streak. Eleven straight. That's impressive. Her career earnings are just shy of $1 million at $917,537.

A win here and he will officially become a millionaire.

Eysa Jess Jumpn is trained by Joel Huitron and will be ridden by Pedro Espinosa.

Another to watch here is Dunn Ranch and Valeriano Racing Stables LLC's Dexxter. This 4-yr-old gelding by Corona Cartel, is also on a streak of three straight Grade 1 wins including the Remington Park Invitational Championship and the All-American Gold Cup.

His earnings just this year are $221,162 leaving his career total sitting at $460,012. Monty Arrossa is Dexxter's conditioner and he has named 2019 World Champion Jockey, James Flores to ride.
