Stakes Winners Invite A Favor, Moshi Yoshi Headline Mile High Futurity

AURORA, CO—AUGUST 10, 2018—Invite A Favor and Moshi Yoshi, two stakes winners during the meet, head a field of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Sunday’s 400-yard, $100,000-added Mile High Futurity at Arapahoe Park.

Trained by Jose Cruz Villafranco for owner Margarito Montalvo, Invite A Favor has earned $27,610 from four outs, and his three wins include a one-length victory in the June 16, 330-yard Rocky Mountain Futurity at Arapahoe Park. The sorrel daughter of Favorite Cartel drew post 3 and will be ridden by Roberto Valero.

Moshi Yoshi is a homebred Pool filly trained by Manuel Orozco for owner Dana Yoshida-Orozco. Moshi Yoshi has won two of three starts, including the July 14, 330-yard Cherry Creek Futurity (R) for Colorado-breds, and she has banked $35,186.

Moshi Yoshi drew post 8 and will be ridden by Jose P. Lopez.

Pedro Andazola’s Captain Force, a sorrel son of Captain Courage trained by Hipolito Michel-Valverde, drew post 2 and will be ridden by Edwuin Lujan. The colt has earned $113,418 from eight outs, and his season resume includes a half-length victory as the 4-5 favorite in the June 16, 350-yard Rocky Mountain Derby.

Sunday’s Quarter Horse stakes tripleheader at Arapahoe Park includes the 400-yard, $20,000 RMQHA Championship Bonus Challenge Stakes. John G. Johnson’s Faster Than Hasta, a 4-year-old son of the Pritzi Dash stallion Hasta Be Fast trained by Robert Johnson, drew post 4 and will be ridden by Alfredo Triana Jr. Faster Than Hasta has earned $142,083 from 16 outs, and the gelding ended his sophomore season with a second-place finish in the 400-yard, $180,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship at Prairie Meadows on October 14.
