Delta Downs To Host Training Races on Thursday and Friday

Delta Downs To Host Training Races on Thursday and Friday

VINTON, LA—APRIL 4, 2017—In preparation of their upcoming live Quarter Horse racing season, set to kick off April 21st, Delta Downs will host two-nights of training races for two-year-olds this week.

Two-year-old fillies will take the stage on Thursday night with 14 races scheduled at 220 yards each. First post is 7:45 PM (CDT).

Sale graduate highlights making their debut on Thursday include $70,000 LQHBA Yearling graduate Unemaginable, a Heza Fast Dash filly from the Dash For Cash mare Real Or Imagined. William McIntosh will saddle the filly in Race 2 for owner T M Ranch. Gilbert Ortiz had the riding call aboard the sister to stakes winner Unrealistic and half-sister to five other black type.

Another Heza Fast Dash filly, Monees Fast Cash, will start in Race 5 for owner Ten To Win LLC and trainer Mike Taylor. John Hamilton has been named to ride the $37,000 LQHBA Yearling graduate. The sorrel filly's second dam is the previously mentioned multiple stakes producer Real Or Imagined by Dash For Cash.

Trey Ellis will saddle $50,000 LQHBA graduate Chloes Got Game in Race 8. Chloes Got Game Partnership owns the Game Patriot filly who is the first foal from the Jess Louisiana Blue mare Wandaslouisianagirl, a half-sister to Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity runner-up Ms Wandas Fortune. Alfonso Lujan has been tapped to ride.

In Race 11 Mike Taylor saddles The Cartel Game, a $38,000 LQHBA Yearling graduate for owner Bill Robbins. John Hamilton will ride the Heza Fast Dash filly who is the first foal from the RG2 stakes winning Game Patriot mare The Game Cartel.

Taylor and Hamilton team again in the Race 13 with Patriots Cartel, a sister to the aforementioned RG2 winner The Game Cartel. Scott and Monica Jones paid $40,000 for the bay filly at the LQHBA Yearling Sale.

In the final race (14), Taylor saddles another $40,000 LQHBA Yearling graduate, TF Dashin Ms Perry, for Ten For Ten LLC. Hamilton rides the Sir Runway Dash filly out of the G2 winning and G2 producing Special Leader mare Tf Ms Special Perry.
