Bank of America New Mexico Challenge Championship Draws Eight

SUNLAND PARK, NM—APRIL 11, 2016—Mr Eye Opener Too, a 5-year-old son of Mr Eye Opener racing for Sergio Hermosillo, is one of eight aged sprinters entered in Saturday’s 440-yard, $100,000 Bank of America New Mexico Challenge Championship (G2) at Sunland Park.
Racing from the barn of trainer Juan Meraz, Mr Eye Opener Too has won two of his last three outs, including a 350-yard allowance-optional claiming ($40,000) race at Sunland on January 10. The gelding drew post 2 and will be ridden by Oscar Cordova.
The winner of this race will earn a berth in the October 29, $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1) at Los Alamitos. The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments--
