Beehive Futurity Headlines 12-Race Program at Weber Downs

OGDEN, UT–APRIL 18, 2024–Casey Whitaker's Promontory, a homebred son of champion KVN Coro-na and the fastest qualifier, is one of a dozen 2-year-olds entered back in Saturday's 300-yard, $82,446 Beehive Futurity (R) for juveniles sired by participating stallions.

Promontory made his official career debut with a 1 1/4-length victory in the last of six trials on April 6. Sergio Canales trains the colt.

Promontory drew post 7 and will be ridden by Jesus Canales.

JR Stables' JR Honky Tonk Moon, the second-fastest qualifier, drew post 5 and will be ridden by Je-sus Valenzuela for trainer Kylie Valenzuela. A homebred daughter of Pappasito, the filly made her official debut with a three-quarter length win in the fourth Beehive Futurity trial.

Also on Saturday, Kaseys Spirit is one of 10 2-year-olds entered back in the 300-yard, $15,161 Bee-hive Juvenile Stakes (R).

A gray daughter of KVN Corona trained by Kylie Valenzuela for owner CG Racing LLC, Bittons Knud Romantz is coming off of a 1 1/2-length victory in a Beehive Futurity trial. The filly drew post 8 and will be ridden by Jesus Valenzuela.
