CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 20, 2018—Jermaine Jackson’s Mary Janes Hero, a stakes winner during the Remington Park spring meet, is one of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Sunday’s 350-yard, $266,765 Black Gold 350 Futurity (R) at Will Rogers Downs.
A sorrel daughter of Valiant Hero trained by Rodrigo Covarrubias, Mary Janes Hero made her local debut with a one-length victory in her Black Gold 350 Futurity trial on September 8.
The filly has banked $49,720 from six outs, and her two wins include a nose victory at odds of 16-1 in the 330-yard, $70,000 FL Lady Bug Stakes (R) on May 28.
Mary Janes Hero drew post 6 and will be ridden by Jesus Salazar.
Fastest qualifier Cindys Easy Train is coming off of a one-length win in the second of 11 trials on September 8. A homebred daughter of Freighttrain B owned and trained by Abel Flores, the filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jose Vega.
