Retama Park will host the $20,000 King William Handicap on Saturday's race card.

SELMA, TX—JUNE 29 2015—Fly Lil Curl will put her three-race win streak on the line and get her first real class test in Saturday’s 350-yard, $20,000 King William Handicap at Retama Park.

A 4-year-old daughter of Spit Curl Jess racing for Dora G. Martinez from the barn of trainer Yasmine Fierro, Fly Lil Curl is coming off of a half-length win in a 300-yard, $6,900 allowance dash for distaffers at Retama on June 19. The mare’s win streak includes two victories against $5,000 claiming company.

Fly Lil Curl drew post 10 and will be ridden by Ignacio Bustamante.

Trainer Mike Robbins will send out Jess A Comment, the 126-pound top weight, for owner Michael S. Amburn. A 6-year-old gelding by First Comment, Jess A Comment made his season debut with a neck victory as the 8-5 choice in a 350-yard, $9,000 open-condition allowance sprint at Sam Houston Race Park on April 25.

Jess A Comment ran second, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner Loves Brown Sugar, in last year’s King William. Luis Ramirez has been named to ride the gelding from post 6 on Saturday.
