LOS ALAMITOS, CA— APRIL 16, 2015— Jaime Gomez’s Docs Best Card, a half-brother to champion Secret Card, and Ed Allred’s Watch Her Walk, a full sister to 2014 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity winner He Looks Hot, are among the talented 2-year-olds that will debut on Saturday night at Los Alamitos.

Nine races are on tap with first post set for 6 p.m.

Gomez saddled the freshman Carnegie Haul to victory last weekend and now sends out another promising juvenile in Docs Best Card in the sixth race on the card. The colt by Corona Cartel posted a solid :12.5 work at 220 yards on March 17 before taking it up a notch when posted the fastest of 30 drills (:12.20) on March 31. Carlos Huerta will ride Docs Best Card from post number five against a field that will also feature Martha Wells’ Tell Jess, a half brother to iron horse and multiple stakes winner Forrest Fire. Six others will also compete.

The eighth race on the card will also feature 2-year-olds with the Scott Willoughby-trained Watch Her Walk among the ones to keep an eye on in this 300-yard dash. With Huerta also aboard, Watch Her Walk comes in after post the fastest of 22 drills (:12.20) on March 26. In addition to He Looks Hot, Watch Her Walk is also a full sister to restricted Grade 1 winner Once Over and a half sister to recent La Primera Del Ano Derby runner-up Take A Look. She’ll face Lazy Creek Ranch’s Peacefull Delight, a half sister to World Champion Be A Bono and Governor’s Cup Futurity winner Peace Fire. Steve Burns’ Crooked Path is also a top contender after posting the fastest of 42 drills (:12.10) on March 24. A total of eight runners will compete.

Saturday’s program will also feature a $12,900 allowance event at 870 yards. Jockey Minor Arana went down in a spill last weekend, but is back in action to pilot the razor sharp Oh Daddy Oh for trainer Charles Treece. Recent winners Nate Dawg and Indian Proof and Put It There, who ran third against allowance foes in his last start, will also race.
