Fastest Qualifier Country Boy Deluxe Draws Rail Post for Picov Championship

AJAX, ONTARIO—SEPTEMBER 29, 2014—Country Boy Deluxe, a 5-year-old gelding by champion Country Chicks Man owned and trained by Stan Webb, drew the rail post for Tuesday’s 440-yard, $133,050 Alex Picov Memorial Championship at Ajax Downs.

Country Boy Deluxe is coming off of a neck victory in the second of two trials on September 16. The gelding has won eight of 27 starts, including all three of his outs at Ajax Downs this season, and he has earned $103,126.

Cory Spataro will ride Country Boy Deluxe on Tuesday.

The other trial winner, One Famous Glass, is a 4-year-old gelded son of One Famous Eagle racing for Carol Robertson, Jaime Robertson, and Dr. Charles Hall from the barn of trainer Bryn Robertson. One Famous Glass shipped in from Oklahoma, where he won an open-condition 400-yard, $31,000 allowance race at Remington Park on April 20.

Marty Mercieca has been named to ride One Famous Glass from post 4.
