ALTOONA, IA—AUGUST 15, 2014—Pure D Spit, a 6-year-old Spit Curl Jess gelding owned and trained by Rodrigo Covarrubias, will put his six-race win streak on the line in Saturday’s 400-yard, $45,000 Keokuk Stakes (G3) at Prairie Meadows.
Pure D Spit is coming off of a Remington Park spring campaign in which he won all five of his outs against starter allowance company. The gelding, whose win streak dates back to October 26, will be seeking his first stakes victory in the Keokuk.
