LOS ALAMITOS, CA—MAY 12, 2013—Christian and Ru Anna Singletary and Joleen Hales’ Tres Of Linda will go after her third stakes victory of the year when she headlines a field of seven mares in the $25,000 Miss Princess Handicap tonight (Sunday) at Los Alamitos. The Miss Princess at 350 yards is scheduled as the ninth race and final race on the card.

Tres Of Linda has won two of three starts this year and both victories have come in stakes races. The 4-year-old Tres Seis filly prevailed by a head to win the Grade 2 $100,000 Charger Bar Handicap on January 6 and then returned to win the Garden Grove Handicap by a half-length. To be ridden by Rodrigo Aceves, who piloted her in the Charger Bar, the Scott Willoughby-trained mare will start from post number three.

The Miss Princess will will also feature Attack The Cartel and Check N Fetch, who finished 1-2 in the Native Empress Handicap on April 5. Racing for Steve Burns, Attack The Cartel has been doing double duty this spring, as she’s already been bred a couple of times this year. Lorena Velazquez Rodriguez’s Check N Fetch was second in the Native Empress and three races back was an impressive allowance winner at 300 yards.

The field will also feature Eyema Special Candy, who travels here after racing at Remington Park and Prairie Meadows in Iowa over the past 12 months, Warm Form, who is a two-time allowance winner this year, Queens R Blue, who rallied to an impressive allowance victory back in January, and recent allowance-runner-up Hollywood Mongoose.
