Vodka With Ice, JR Dynasty Mountain Return in BOA Les Bois Trials

BOISE, ID—JULY 21, 2014—A total of 22 sprinters, including graded stakes winners Vodka With Ice and JR Dynasty Mountain, have been entered in Wednesday’s 440-yard Bank of America Les Bois Championship Challenge trials.

A 9-year-old gelding by champion Stoli racing for Gerardo Prado and trained by Monty Arrossa, Vodka With Ice ships in from Los Alamitos, where he won last year’s 440-yard, $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1) and earned a berth in the Grade 1, $750,000 Champion of Champions, the sport’s richest and most prestigious race for older horses.

Vodka With Ice has won 13 of 52 starts and has earned $380,258. Cesar DeAlba will ride the gelding from the rail post in the first of three heats.

JR Dynasty Mountain is a 4-year-old stallion by champion FDD Dynasty campaigned by JR Stables LLC from the barn of Ron Moosman. JR Dynasty drew post 1 and will be ridden by Eddie Aceves in the third trial, and he will be making his first start since November 9, when he scored a 1 1/4-length victory in the 400-yard, $200,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G1) at Los Alamitos.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $65,000-est. Bank of America Les Bois Championship Challenge final on Saturday, August 9.
