LOS ALAMITOS, CA—AUGUST 13, 2011—Deleyco Race Team Corp.’s Our Kinda Magic disappeared from his rivals at the halfway mark of the $25,000 Pat Hyland Handicap, as avoided the trouble that had plagued him in his last two starts and instead delivered a picture perfect victory on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Juan Andrade for trainer Jose Flores, Our Kinda Magic broke well and then cruised to a convincing 1 ¼ length victory over Ed Burke Million Futurity finalist Hi On The List in the 350-yard stakes.

The son of Tr Dasher won in a time of :17.520 – a nice improvement from the :17.65 clocking he posted when he rallied from sixth to finish second in a trial to the Governor’s Cup Futurity in his last start. Two races ago, Our Kinda Magic acted up in the gates and was pinballed at the start when running fifth at 2-1 odds against allowance rivals.

That’s all behind the David Martin-bred runner, as Our Kinda Magic enjoyed a flawless journey when recording his second win in five career starts. He earned $13,750 for the win to take his career earnings to $17,695.

Double Bar S Ranch’s Hi On The List earned $5,625 to take his lifetime earnings to $64,435. The Streakin La Jolla filly came into this race after running sixth to Separate Fire in the Ed Burke Million.

Zoomdasher crossed the wire third, but was disqualified and placed last because of interference during the race. A Country Boy Can, who also ran in the Ed Burke Million, was moved up to third place.

Teller Shez Wicked, Worth Everything, Blue De Lis and Zoomdasher completed the official order of finish.
