PHOENIX, AZ–APRIL 25, 2024–Rompe Corazonez, who qualified with the third fastest time in the trials, isn't breaking hearts today. The two-year-old bay filly pulled off her victory with an upset in the finals of the $56,075 AQRA Turf Paradise Presidents Open Futurity on Thursday afternoon.

Jockey Joseph Belloc Jr piloted Rompe Corazonez to her first place finish in :15.843 seconds clocking a 89 speed index against an 8 mph headwind. After a bumped start, she held well leading the field from wire-to-wire and crossed the finish line 3/4-lengths ahead of Bartlett. The longshot's 300-yard victory paid $42.80 to win on a $2.00 wager with 19/1 odds.

Conditioned by Rigoberto Guillen, Rompe Corazonez placed third in her trial heat to the Futurity and today's victory is her first career win from two starts. The $28,938 winner's share of the purse increased her lifetime earnings to $30,438.
