Scarmardo Home-Bred This Eagles Armed Wins $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 23, 2024—This Eagles Armed, a $23,000 TQHA Yearling Sale repurchase, broke his maiden Saturday when he defeated Bp Pink Venom by a neck the $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile at Remington Park.

Ridden by jockey Ali Rivera, This Eagles Armed completed the 350 yards in :17.587, earning an 87 speed index into a 8 mph headwind. The $20,000 winner's purse. Boosted the son of third-crop sire This Is An Eagle's earnings total to $21,946.

Leading trainer John Stinebaugh condtions the Texas home-bred for owner-breeder Pete Scarmardo. Out of the stakes winning Tac It Like A Man mare Empty Arms, This Eagles Armed's second dam is the Grade 3 winning Tres Seis mare Answer The Dream, a multiple black type producer including Los Alamitos Oaks(G3) winner Dreams Divine.

Runner-up Bp Pink Venom, ridden by jockey Rolando Raudales, earned $8,500 for finishing second. Trainer Dee Keener saddled the daughter of leading sire Favorite Cartel for owner-breeder Bill Price.

Bred in Oklahoma, from the stakes-placed Tres Seis mare Bp Tres Seis Policy. The second-dam is Oklahoma Futurity(G3) winner CC Policy by Corona Cartel. Bp Pink Venom broke her maiden in the March 9 trials and has earned $14,392 in two starts.

Reliance Ranches, LLC's Hott Temptation finished three-quarters back to earn $5,500 for third. The $190,00 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate is trained by Cody Noel and was ridden by Mario Delgado.

Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP bred the daughter of Tempting Dash from the Grade 3 winner and multiple grade 1 producer Pandorum by Tres Seis.
Hott Temptation is a sister to  Ruidoso Derby(G1) winner Hotsempting and half-sister to Champion Hotstepper and G1-placed In Hott Pursuit.

Completing the Juvenile field were Outcome Is Income, Starwood, Rick Strike, Kingpyn, Sin Tachas Eagle, Moon Knight and Cedar Hill.
