CLAREMORE, OK–OCTOBER 31, 2022–Making her first start since winning the Gillespie County Fair Derby on August 28th, Fabulous Rachel set the fastest time for the Oklahoma Horsemen's Mystery Derby in the opening trial Monday at Will Rogers Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers, from four trial races contested today, will return to the Northeastern Oklahoma racetrack on Tuesday, November 15th to vie for winner's purse of the $25,000-added race.

Under jockey Juan Pulido the lightly raced Fabulous Rachel drove to a neck win over Apollitical Payoff to set the fastest time of :17.590 seconds, a 98 speed index into 7 mph headwind. Unraced at 2, this was the third win in four starts for the daughter of leading third-crop sire One Fabulous Eagle.  

Waylan Melton trains the stakes winning filly for owner Darling Farms. Juan Medina bred the filly in Oklahoma from the Teller Cartel mare Teller Baja. Fabulous Rachel has earned over $50,000.

Trainer Eddie D. Willis sent out Just A Kool Boy in the third trial to get the second fastest time of :17.607 seconds, also a 98 speed index into  a 7mph headwind. Jockey Justine Klaiber rode the son of leading sire Favorite Cartel for owner Adina Baker.

Garrett Baker bred Just A Kool Boy in Oklahoma from the One Famous Eagle mare Just Eagle. The multiple graded-placed 3-year-old has earned $150,930. He was fourth in the Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity at 2 and second in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby(RG2) and third in the Jack Brooks Stakes(RG3) this season.

Willis and Klaiber also teamed to get the 6^th fastest qualifier Suzy de Capi for owne-breeders James Sills and Abel Flores.
