Lotto Livewire Fastest Qualifier For APHA Claiming Futurity

TULSA, OK—JUNE 8, 2019—Two trials for the $20,000-est. APHA Claiming Futurity for APHA 2-year-olds were held Saturday night at Fair Meadows Race Course. All horses entered in the trials had to run for a claiming price of $7,500. No claims were dropped.

Lotto Livewire, a daughter of multiple stakes sire Crm Livewire, won the second of two trials under jockey Justine Klaiber to post the fastest time of :17.213 seconds, an 88 speed index with a 5 mph tailwind for 330 yards.

Ray Enlow conditions the bay gelding for owner/breeder Casey J. Humphrey. It was the first win four starts for the 2-year-old who was second in the PSBA American Paint Classic at Remington Park in April. He has earned $8,460.

Js Chicken Little, under jockey Roberto Meraz, Jr., posted a half-length win in the opening trial to get the second fastest time of :17.307 seconds, an 85 speed index. Carlos Ruiz trains the sorrel gelding for owner/breeder Shirley Wheeler.

Also getting his first victory in five starts, the son of stakes sire Sf Royal Quick Flash has earned $3,416. The Oklahoma-bred is from the Game Patriot (QH) mare Game Chicken.
