Such Easy Cash's Run 1-2 In North Dakota Grassroots Derby

BELCOURT, ND—JUNE 28, 2015—Such Easy Cash sired the 1-2 finishers in Sunday's $7,000 North Dakota Grassroots Derby (not black-type) at Chippewa Downs. No Such Tellin defeated Dashing Silk Coat by nose to take home the winner's purse of $3,150.

Ridden by jockey Marcus Delorme, No Such Tellin completed the 350 yards in :18.440 seconds to get his second win in six starts Owned-bred-and-trained by Ronald Addicott, the winner's purse more than doubled the gelding's earnings to $5,696.

Addicott bred No Such Tellin from the First Place Dash mare No Tellin Darlin.

John Bubel's homebred filly Dashin Silk Coat earned $1,330 for her runner-up effort. Terry Davis conditions the filly out of Southern Silk Coat, by Takin On The Cash. Bubel also owns her sire Such Easy Cash. Zack Ziegler had the riding assignment.

Rainy Summer Day Gal, a buckskin filly also trained by Terry Davis, finished a neck off the leaders in third. The Golden Toltac filly races for owner/breeder Rosemary Peltier. Ridden by Shaun Herman, Rainy Summer Day Gal is out of the Spanish Boot mare Runaway Boots. She picked up $910 for the effort.

Shesa Easy Victory, Counts Express, Yeah Im My T Fine, Easy To Fly High and Brezze To Win completed the field.
