ANDERSON, IN—SEPTEMBER 15, 2012—Maurice Locklear's homebred Ball Ball Corona picked up the biggest start of her life to break her maiden Saturday afternoon.

Under jockey Harold Collins, the sorrel filly defeated Chilled Too The Bone by a half-length in the $112,400 Gordon Mobley Futurity at Indiana Downs.

Ron Raper saddled Ball Ball Corona, who completed the 350 yards in :18.278 seconds, picking up the winner's purse of $61,820. The Mito Corona filly out of She My Payoff, by Sc Payoff, is 1-2-2 in seven starts this season with earnings of $71,745.

Ball Ball Corona paid $28.40 to win, $7.80 to place and $4.60 to show.

Roy Moore owns and trains Chilled Too The Bone who finished a game second after getting bumped from both sides. The Chilled Corona gelding earned $22,480 for his effort. Jose Beltran was aboard. Circle S Ranch, Inc. bred the sorrel from the Rare Form mare Sheza Rare One Too.

Jim Roysden's Doreme Fasolasi Win colt Dash Ta Win finished a neck back in the show position. Also trained by Roysden, the sorrel earned $11,240. He is out of Easy Jets Squaw, by The Winning Team.

Completing the field were Streak Ta Dash, Robins Corona, Hopen To Smokem, Night Beat Ranger, R Cigar, Zoomin For Daddy and fastest qualifier, Kittichelli who was taken up after getting squeezed at the start.
