BOSSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 28, 2012—After just missing in the Harrah's Dash on January 7, Eyesa Western scored Saturday in the $15,000 Swift Stakes at Louisiana Downs.
Under jockey Bobby Ransom, Eyesa Western bore in before driving at the finish to catch Charal Kid by a neck at the wire. Ja Jess Perfect finished a half-length back for third.

Burnett Ranches, Ltd. bred Eyesa Western in Texas from the Chicks Beduino mare Western Debt.
Malinche Cattle Co., Inc.'s super consistent homebred Charal Kid earned $3,000 for second to move his earnings mare to $333,819. Saddled by Eusevio Huitron and ridden by Santos Carrizales, the Streakin La Jolla 6-year-old is 13-9-3 from 38 starts. He is out of the Strawfly Special mare The Special Feature.
Making his first start since winning back-to-back Allowance races at Sam Houston and Lone Star Park, Ja Jess Perfect earned $1,650 for owner/breeder Joe Allen. Judd Kearl was saddling the Mr Jess Perry 5-year-old to only his ninth career start. Ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo, Ja Jess Perfect is 3-0-4 with earnings of only $14,094. He is out of the Dash For Cash mare Ja Curiosity.
Completing the Swift field were Abreez, Kool Country Man, Bertha Venation, Mr Hempens Feature, King Of The Bunnys and Point Of Deception.
