Twenty Heritage Place Futurity Trials Set for This Week at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 3, 2022–Twenty Heritage Place Futurity (G1) trials – 10 on Thursday and 10 on Friday – will be contested at Remington Park this week.

First post time each night is set for 6 p.m. (CDT). The five fastest qualifiers from each night of 350-yard trials will meet in the May 28, $1 million-est. Heritage Place Futurity final.

Thursday's trials are headed by Sunday Sylence, a graded stakes placed daughter of Ivory James owned and trained by Leonardo Alcala and a $13,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearlilng Sale in Oklahoma City. Sunday Sylence has earned $50,416 from two races, and he will be stretching out in distance off of his third-place finish in the 300-yard, $441,000 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) on March 19.

Sunday Sylence drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jose A. Alvarez in Thursday's third heat.

Ivory Senator, a graded stakes placed Louisiana Senator gelding trained by Santos Carrizales Jr. for owner Louis A. Malechek III, is coming off of a second-place finish in the April 16, 330-yard Laico Bird Stakes (RG3). The homebred gelding has banked $25,634 from two outs.

Ivory Senator drew post 10 and will be ridden by Juan Pulido in Thursday's third trial.

Friday's 10 heats are led by Elizabeth Logan's Tres Crystals, an undefeated graded stakes winning son of champion Tres Seis, and stakes winners Teller Ima Eagle and Hooked N Gone. Tres Crystals has earned $182,104 from two races, and his two wins include a head victory in the Oklahoma Futurity.

Tres Crystals drew post 6 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa for trainer Dee Keener in Friday's eighth trial.

Teller Ima Eagle is coming off of a three-quarter length win in the 300-yard, $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile Stakes on March 19. The gelded son of freshman sire This Is An Eagle is trained by Troy Carter for owner Guerras Racing Stables. He drew post 10 and will be ridden by James Flores in Friday's second heat.

Hooked N Gone is a homebred son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon trained by Jerry Livingston for owner Regina Laymon. The gelding has earned $44,595 from two races, and he broke his maiden with a three-quarter length victory in the April 16, $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Stakes (R) for Oklahoma-breds.

Hooked N Gone drew post 7 and will be ridden by Cristian Esqueda.
